PIONEER DAYS.

HELD ANNUALLY ON The Last Saturday in April.

Make your way to Okemah during the last weekend in April, when small town charm meets fun for the entire family. Celebrate Okemah’s pioneer founding with a weekend full of the nostalgia of rodeo and reenactments, and the pure joy that only small town festivals can provide. From parades and carnivals to food trucks, and merry-go-rounds, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and experience. Don’t miss the games on Main Street — events like the high noon egg toss and best-decorated turtle contest are sure to keep you coming back every year.

PIONEER DAYS PAGEANT

Held annually before Pioneer Weekend, the Pioneer Days Pageant is a longstanding tradition in the Okemah community. Winners receive cash prizes and are featured in the Pioneer Day Parade.
